I just saw that Zeph had posted a SP12-questionnaire, and I've been thinking about it not knowing when the next round would be, so I was very happy to see I made it to the signups just before deadline. I'm so excited!

1. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?

Natural fibers, wool, alpaca, cotton, silk, bamboo…

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?

Everything and nothing

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?

I’ve been knitting since forever. My mum taught me, and I consider myself intermediate. Due to my short attention span I will never be advanced.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?

No.

5. What's your favorite scent?

Something fruity or flowery.

6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?

No, not really. I do like pastries though, but they’re not very mailable.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?

I’ve tried spinning but it never really got me going. I’m currently waiting for some quilt fabric and am very anxious to (have vacation and) try and make a quilt. I’ve been sewing since before I started knitting. And I also crochet occasionally.

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)

My equipment can play mp3’s. I like all kinds of music, and anything jazzy in particular.

9. What's your favorite color(s)? Any colors you just can't stand?

I like green, turquoise, blue, purple, pink, and earthier, dustier tones. I’m not into very bright and cheerful stuff.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?

I’m a single woman with no pets.

11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?

I wear lots of scarves, and mittens and hats in the winter. Ponchos not so much.

12. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?

Small things that finish quickly.

13. What are you knitting right now?

Socks. (see above)

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?

What kind of person doesn’t?

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?

Bamboo circulars or dpn’s are my favourite.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?

Yes, both.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?

Freakishly old.

18. What is your favorite holiday?

Easter.

19. Is there anything that you collect?

Earrings. And yarn. And I’m starting a little quilt fabric collection.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?

I don’t have any subscriptions. The only book that comes to mind is Barbara Walkers Treasury of Knitting Patterns, and the only pattern I can think of right now is Saddle Shoulder Aran Cardigan.

21. Are there any new techniques you'd like to learn?

Nah.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?

I knit socks occasionally (and currently). My feet are European 39, which seems to be an American 7 or UK 6.
