A bit of knitting

For real.

Today I've purchased 14 balls of Rowans Wool Cotton. I've engaged six friends in knitting a Cirlce of friends baby blanket from Last Minute Knitted Gifts, though we have about three months until our oblivious friend is giving birth to her, and our old Uppsala gang's, first baby. So today I've test knitted half a square and rewound the 14 balls into 56 balls, of which 49 is for the blankie and seven is for safety. (Also it's easier dividing a ball of yarn into four little ones instead of three and a half. Just hope the other gals knit like me, otherwise the balls are too small.)

During the holidays I finished my Entrelac Scarf:

Pattern: Entrelac scarf from Freckles and purls
Yarn: Slightly more than four balls of Noro Kureyon, colour 170.
Yarn source: Yll o tyll, Uppsala.
Needles: Two 5 mm dpn's with tip protectors at the ends. You don't need full length needles for this scarf.
Gauge: No idea, doesn't matter.
Fun: Quite. But also a lot of work...
Mistakes made: After starting on the fourth ball, I noticed a big mistake, like an extra half row of squares, in the beginning of the third ball. I considered leaving it, though it gave the scarf a hood-like feature, but got myself together and ripped it.
Note to self: Kureyon is a bit itchy.

Other than that, I have a Wool peddlers shawl, the gray cabled sweater, a pair of knee-highs (currently inch-high) and Eunny's endpaper mitts in the immediate pipeline, and a friend turning 35 in two weeks wanting mitts for b-day present. Keeping busy, in other words...
